Ron Sachs Communications offers competitive and rewarding internships for students interested in pursuing a career in public relations, advertising, graphic design, web design and/or video production. We seek self-motivated students to become a part of Tallahassee's most aggressive and accomplished communications firm. Our interns work side-by-side with our experienced team of award-winning communicators in a fast-paced and fun environment. From writing news releases and organizing news conferences to scripting television spots and pitching stories to local and national media organizations, our interns get unparalleled real-life experience. Unpaid internships are available for the spring, summer and fall semesters. We prefer interns to work 20 hours per week; however, we sometimes accept interns who wish to work fewer hours. Preference is given to juniors and seniors in a related field of study with strong written and verbal communication skills, though any interested student is encouraged to apply. Please contact Erica Villanueva at internships@ronsachs.com to submit your resume and writing sample(s).
After three years of extended lectures, stressful labs, and grueling tests, I can confidently say that the knowledge and skill I have gained in just one semester interning at Ron Sachs Communications far surpasses everything I learned in the classroom. With the guidance and support of such experienced professionals behind me, I feel ready to take on anything the future has in store.
-- Chelsea Bundschuh
Interning at Ron Sachs Communications has been an amazing experience and helped to buttress the education I received in the classroom at Florida State. The staff, including the executives, are always willing to lend a bit of knowledge or an open ear. Ron Sachs Communications provides an unmatched environment in which I have grown as a public relations student. As an intern, I am given the opportunity to be part of a team working on statewide campaigns and initiatives. I cannot think of a better place to learn and develop techniques that will later prove invaluable throughout my future career in public relations.
-- Amanda Stahl
As a result of my internship at Ron Sachs Communications, I learned how to be a confident and capable member of a team. Everyone at the firm is helpful, friendly, professional, and wise - I couldn't have asked for better mentors. I gained the skills necessary to succeed in competitive field, and I am forever grateful for the unique and challenging opportunity Ron Sachs Communications provided for me.

My externship experience was the catalyst for my continued growth as public relations professional. During my time as an intern and extern I was not only able to perfect skills I had learned during college courses, but I was able to manage three pro bono accounts, one of which culminated in a walk on the Capitol steps. During these projects I was able to take a more active role in the decision making process while building established relationships with clients, staff and media.
-- Jessica Isabelle
Ron Sachs Communications opened a door of opportunity for me when entering the workforce. In the field of public relations, experience is a professional's number one tool. The RSC staff showed me the critical skills necessary to excel at an advanced public relations firm. I am excited the externship program led to a full-time position as an account executive at a firm whose work I am enthusiastic about and have great respect for.
