Ron Sachs President   A veteran Florida communicator with an extensive background in journalism and government communications. His contacts in government and the media, formed during his service to Florida Governors Lawton Chiles and Reubin Askew, work to the benefit of all our clients. His award-winning media experience includes stints as government/investigative reporter for The Miami Herald, and editorial director for Miami's ABC affiliate, WPLG-TV, Channel 10.

Michelle Lagos Ubben  Chief Operating Officer

Michelle Lagos Ubben Chief Operating Officer   A respected communications professional with seven years of public relations agency management experience and 14 years of senior-level service for state government agencies. She has directed communications for the Department of Children and Families, Health and Rehabilitative Services, Agriculture and Consumer Services, Insurance and the Florida Senate. She also was a reporter for the Orlando Sentinel and has taught speechwriting at Florida State University.

Marsha Koppe  Vice President

Marsha Koppe Vice President   Marsha Koppe is a highly skilled communications professional with more than 30 years experience. Her extensive public and private sector experience includes television news and talk show production, advertising and public relations with special interests in public policy and issue development. An experienced executive, Marsha also spent six years in state government, serving as Communications Director and Chief of Staff to two agency heads.

Ryan Banfill  Vice President

Ryan Banfill Vice President   Ryan Banfill is a seasoned communications professional with more than a decade of experience in the areas of government, political and association communications; development and promotion of public policy and policymakers; and television production. Ryan brings to RSC’s development of media and public affairs strategies the unique perspective of an award-winning television producer; chief speechwriter and press secretary for a governor; communications lead in the Southeastern U.S. for NFIB, the nation’s largest small-business advocacy group; and legislative experience with the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate. Along with his service with former Florida Governor Lawton Chiles, Ryan has provided counsel to business leaders, state lawmakers, and members of Congress. His special interests include issue and message development, public policy, and electronic media communications.

Alia Faraj  Vice President

Alia Faraj Vice President   Longtime veteran in the field of public relations and former director of communications for Gov. Jeb Bush, Alia Faraj brings more than 18 years of experience to Ron Sachs Communications. Prior to being named to the senior management team in the governor’s communication office, Faraj served as deputy chief of staff at the Florida Department of State during the 2004 presidential election. Faraj has also served as the public affairs director at the Florida Department of Community Affairs. Before entering public service, she was vice president for news operations at Capitol News Service for 13 years. Faraj has had the opportunity to reside in five countries overseas in addition to traveling extensively through the Middle East, Asia, South America, Europe and North Africa.

Creston Nelson-Morrill  Senior Account Manager

Creston Nelson-Morrill Senior Account Manager   An award winning reporter and author, Creston Nelson-Morrill has more than 30 years of experience in the communications field as a reporter, editor, speech writer and lobbyist. She worked on legislative committee staff and was a speechwriter and health care policy analyst for the state insurance commissioner. She was the Florida correspondent for National Underwriter's property and casualty and health care editions and wrote a monthly Tallahassee 'insiders' report for Florida Underwriter. As founder and president of HealthTrac, Inc., she launched a series of policy newsletters covering health care policy, managed care, property and casualty insurance, the residual insurance market and workers' compensation. She also served as editior of the Florida Department of Elder Affairs' Elder Update, which focused on aging issues and as the founding editor of Florida's Child, a monthly magazine focused on early education issues.

Bob O'Malley Director of Central Florida Operations   Bob O'Malley is an accredited public relations professional (APR) with strong ties to the Central Florida region. With over 10 years of experience, Bob is recognized statewide as a leader in the public relations profession. He previously served as Director of Public Affairs & Strategic Planning for a regional transportation planning agency, gaining valuable experience in government relations, legislative advocacy, media relations and public education initiatives. A graduate of the University of Central Florida's College of Health and Public Affairs and the prestigious Kennedy School of Government, Bob has special interest and expertise in public policy at the state and local government level.
