In Memory of our Friend, Marsha Koppe

Marsha Koppe, beloved mother and grandmother, adored friend and indispensible colleague, died December 14, 2009 after a courageous and protracted battle with cancer. She was only 61.

Caring, insightful, nurturing, wise and strong, Marsha stood as a steadfast anchor of Ron Sachs Communications. It is a testament to Marsha's incredible life that we cannot think of her without the words "excellence," "integrity" and "compassion" entering our minds. Those values stood as the cornerstone of her extraordinary life and served as daily reflections of her fine character for the many fortunate enough to know and to love her.

Through her personal and professional example, Marsha didn't just share these values with those who knew her; Marsha shaped them into an integral and enduring part of the fabric of our individual and collective culture.

Yes, Marsha made us better professionals. Most of all, she made us better human beings. For that, we are grateful to have been touched by her extraordinary life. Marsha raised and nurtured two outstanding children, Kim Koppe Howes and Ryan Koppe. And, she did it as a single parent, juggling a stellar high-pressure career while making her children a priority. She also was a proud grandmother to four wonderful grandsons. They will still receive the great gift of Marsha's values from their parents, Kim and Ryan, whom Marsha raised so well.

She defeated institutional sexism to become an outstanding manager and administrator serving at the highest levels of the public and private sector. In our eyes, we still see Marsha's smile. In our ears, we hear her laughter. In our hearts, we are filled with the joy she gave us in life. These are continued blessings we cherish and will carry through the rest of our days.

Marsha, we miss you and we truly love you.

Our thoughts, prayers and love go out to her family and many other friends. We will never know another like Marsha Koppe.
