Chief Operating Officer at Ron Sachs Communications Named Finalist in 5th Annual Stevie Awards® for Women in Business

TALLAHASSEE - Michelle Ubben, partner and chief operating officer at Ron Sachs Communications, is a national finalist in the 5th Annual Stevie Awards® for Women in Business. She has been nominated in the category Best Executive in Service Businesses for up to 100 Employees.

The Stevie Awards® for Women in Business, often hailed as one of the world's premier business awards, honor women executives, entrepreneurs and the companies they run.

"Michelle is an exceptional leader within our company and the community and this honor prominently reflects all her hard work," said Ron Sachs, president of Ron Sachs Communications. "We are proud for her to receive this recognition."

The Tallahassee Democrat acknowledged Ubben as one of the top business women in the region in 2007 and also honored her in celebration of Women's History Month.

In 2006, PR News chose Ubben as one of five national finalists for the "Agency Executive of the Year" award. She also received honorable mention for her successful reengineering of firm operations that significantly increased firm revenue.

"Her boundless energy and enthusiasm, coupled with one of the most creative minds I've ever seen, radiates to everyone around her and pushes whatever we're doing to a higher level," said Sachs.

Ubben is married to Matt Ubben and has six children.

Winners will be announced during a gala event at the Marriott Marquis hotel in New York on Friday, Nov. 14. More than 1,200 entries were submitted for consideration in 50 categories including Best Executive, Best Entrepreneur and Best Community Involvement Program. Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging. Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs will select Stevie Award winners from among the finalists during final judging.
