TALLAHASSEE - Ron Sachs Communications has received an early holiday gift, wrapping up the year on a high note. The Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded the firm its second Emmy in the past four years, this time for a series of ads produced for "The Faces of Climate Change in Florida" campaign. In 2005 the firm was awarded an Emmy for its hurricane TV special "Get Ready, Florida: The Hurricane Survival Test." The 2008 Regional Emmy Award Ceremony was held Saturday, December 6, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Florida.

Governor Charlie Crist has announced a record number of adoptions in the Sunshine State, with Florida now leading the nation in the number of finalized adoptions. Ron Sachs Communications congratulates the State of Florida and is proud of the "Explore Adoption" initiative.


The adoption campaign, developed by Ron Sachs Communications for Governor Crist and the Office of Adoption and Child Protection, focuses on public education, expanded partnerships, Web-based outreach and a mass media campaign. "Explore Adoption" invites Floridians to find out more about the children immediately available for adoption right in their home state, focusing on the most difficult to place children- older kids, sibling groups, minorities, and children with disabilities. This comprehensive initiative encourages Floridians to open up their hearts and homes to Florida's children-- giving them a forever family.

TALLAHASSEE - In a year where the presidential campaigns spent a record billion dollars, and billions more were spent on campaigns for candidates and issues nationwide, a smartly conceived and executed Florida environmental campaign received nearly 70 percent of the vote on a shoe-string budget.


Voters overwhelmingly approved Amendment 4 - Florida's land conservation amendment. An innovative messaging campaign conceived by Ron Sachs Communications played a key role in the measure's success.

TALLAHASSEE - Governor Charlie Crist's Explore Adoption campaign, launched to raise the public's awareness of foster children in need of loving homes, has been nominated for an Emmy Award. The Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences nominated five ads created for the Explore Adoption Initiative. The Explore Adoption campaign features children who wait the longest for adoptive families - older children and teens, sibling groups, and children with disabilities.

Accompanied by Alan Crotzer, who was wrongfully incarcerated for 24 years, six months, and 13 days for a crime he did not commit, the duo discussed how implementing a strategic communication plan played a key role in securing the passage of a claims bill that has given Alan Crotzer a second chance at life.

Social Media, Web Drive Grassroots Push By Conservation Groups For Amendment 4

TALLAHASSEE - A Web-based video featuring a talking "spokesbear" is the latest tool deployed by conservation groups supporting Florida's proposed Constitutional Amendment 4, the Florida Conservation Land Amendment.


The 30-second ad, viewable online at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHc0371cuVk, will air on cable television in targeted markets in advance of today's presidential debate. But with a limited budget and the reduced availability of airtime snatched up by the presidential campaigns, the conservation groups supporting Amendment 4 have been forced to rely on new media strategies such as e-mail appeals, social networking and viral videos.

TALLAHASSEE - Ron Sachs Communications, which has grown every year since it was founded in 1996, has been named among the top 20 environmental public relations firms in the country, based on the O'Dwyer's national public relations firm rankings. The 12-year-old Tallahassee-based firm was ranked 19th in the nation for environmental public relations and one of only two Florida firms in the top 20. Ron Sachs Communications also ranked among the top 50 firms nationally in health care and financial public relations and among the top 100 in technology public relations.

TALLAHASSEE - Ron Sachs Communications, which has grown every year since it was founded in 1996, has been named among the top 100 public relations firms in the country for the fourth consecutive year, based on the preliminary O'Dwyer's national public relations firm rankings released this week.


The 12-year-old Tallahassee-based firm was ranked 78th in the nation. It is the top public affairs firm in Florida and the only Tallahassee firm in the top 100.

TALLAHASSEE - Ron Sachs Communications, a Tallahassee-based integrated communications firm, won three Gold and 13 Silver ADDY® Awards for advertising excellence in the 2008 competition.


The Gold ADDY® Awards were awarded in the categories of Collateral Material for an identity package and poster created for "Girls Get IT" - and in Public Service, for a poster titled "Jazz for Justice," created for the Children's Programs at Legal Services of North Florida.
